The disdain on my work colleagues’ faces was clear to see with their limp handshakes and their eyes staring aware from me. Not even a shirt and tie could remove the stigma of shame that I now felt as their corporate rejection penetrated my soul. Marked as an outcast of the office my high-grade professional work ethic no longer counted.
Their toxic work culture showed no compassion to the mind of its employees but instead only to KPI driven targets. Their loyalty was only as good as the ability of the individual to make money whilst staying sane.
